About Turncoat
Turncoat began with a bold move from its founder, Terry Langton. Originally a brewer, Terry “turned coat” on beer to follow his passion for gin — giving the brand both its name and its rebellious spirit.
In 2023, Edward Ridding took over the business, carrying Terry's vision forward with creativity and determination.
In 2025, Liverpool Distillery Ltd acquired Turncoat and began modernising the brand for a new era.
Every product we make reflects this journey: from the original Cascade Gin — with its brewer's twist of beer hops — to bold new creations developed in our R&D Room.
Liverpool Distillery is committed to keeping Turncoat rooted in the city it was born.
